One of Ireland's premier tourism counties, Clare is
amazing. It has an abundance of visual riches from the famous river
Shannon and Lough Derg, which forms its eastern boundary, to its
rugged Atlantic coastline with its towering cliffs and golden 'blue
flag' beaches.
The area surrounding Admiralty Lodge and Spanish Point
is acclaimed for it's breathtaking scenery and seascapes. Main attractions
include the Cliffs of Moher, the Aillwee Caves and the famous Burren
landscape. The Cliffs of Moher have been shortlisted as one of the Official Finalists in the race to become one of the new 7 natural wonders of the world.
| Cliffs of Moher |

 |
|
The majestic Cliffs of Moher stand against the
might of the Atlantic Ocean. OBriens Tower is
located on the highest cliff and is the best location from
which to view the Cliffs. From this vantage point one can
see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, as well as The Twelve Pins
and the Maum Turk Mountains to the north in Connemara and
Loop Head to the South. |

| Aillwee Cave |
|
 |
|
Aillwee Cave is a stunning creation of nature,
formed by the melt waters of a prehistoric ice age.
The cave hosts beautiful caverns, bridged chasms, underground
waterfalls, weird mineral formations and the hibernation chambers
of brown bears which have been extinct in Ireland for centuries. |

| The Burren |
|
 |
|
The Burren is an area of limestone rock covering
imposing majestic mountains, and tranquil valleys with gently
meandering streams. Its extraordinary array of flora, wildlife,
megalithic tombs and monuments creates a tapestry of colour
and a seductively magical aura which few people leave without
wanting to experience again. |
